Ps 118 : 17 - 18 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

I shall not die, but live, And tell of the Lord's works. The Lord chastened and corrected me, But He did not give me up to death.

ወንጌል Gospel

Lk 15 : 17 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

17. “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18. I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, 19. and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’ 20. “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. 21. And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son. ’ 22. “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 24. for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. ’ And they began to be merry. 25. “Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26. So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27. And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf. ’ 28. “But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. 29. So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. 30. But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him. ’ 31. “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. 32. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’” ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

2Cor 7 : 1 - 9 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2. Open your hearts to us. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have cheated no one. 3. I do not say this to condemn; for I have said before that you are in our hearts, to die together and to live together. 4. Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my boasting on your behalf. I am filled with comfort. I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation. 5. For indeed, when we came to Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. Outside were conflicts, inside were fears. 6. Nevertheless God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus, 7. and not only by his coming, but also by the consolation with which he was comforted in you, when he told us of your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced even more. 8. For even if I made you sorry with my letter, I do not regret it; though I did regret it. For I perceive that the same epistle made you sorry, though only for a while. 9. Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing.

Js 1 : 2 - 12 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

2. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3. knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8. he is a double - minded man, unstable in all his ways. 9. Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, 10. but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away. 11. For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits. 12. Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

ግብረ ሃዋርያት Acts

Acts 17 : 1 - 12 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews. 2. Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3. explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.” 4. And some of them were persuaded; and a great multitude of the devout Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Paul and Silas. 5. But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the evil men from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar and attacked the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. 6. But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too. 7. Jason has harbored them, and these are all acting contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying there is another king—Jesus.” 8. And they troubled the crowd and the rulers of the city when they heard these things. 9. So when they had taken security from Jason and the rest, they let them go. The Church in Berea 10. Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11. These were more fair - minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. 12. Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men.

ወንጌል Gospel

Mt 9 : 10 - 17 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

10. Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. 11. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” 12. When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 13. But go and learn what this means: ‘ I desire mercy and not sacrifice. ’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” 14. Then the disciples of John came to Him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but Your disciples do not fast?” 15. And Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast. 16. No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. 17. Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

Mt 19 : 16 - 26 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

16. Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” 17. So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” 18. He said to Him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder, ’ ‘You shall not commit adultery, ’ ‘You shall not steal, ’ ‘You shall not bear false witness, ’ 19. ‘Honor your father and your mother, ’a and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” 20. The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?” 21. Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 22. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. 23. Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” 25. When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” 26. But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 24. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. 25. For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father's, and of the holy angels. 27. 1Cor 14 : 26 - 33 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

26. How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. 27. If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret. 28. But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to himself and to God. 29. Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. 30. But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent. 31. For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged. 32. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33. For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

1Tim 5 : 17 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

17. Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine. 18. For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.” 19. Do not receive an accusation against an elder except from two or three witnesses. 20. Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear. 21. I charge you before God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the elect angels that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing with partiality. 22. Do not lay hands on anyone hastily, nor share in other people's sins; keep yourself pure. 23. No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities. 24. Some men's sins are clearly evident, preceding them to judgment, but those of some men follow later. 25. Likewise, the good works of some are clearly evident, and those that are otherwise cannot be hidden.

Js 5 : 12 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

12. But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment. 13. Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. 14. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. 17. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. 18. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. 19. Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20. let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

6. Now it happened on another Sabbath, also, that He entered the synagogue and taught. And a man was there whose right hand was withered. 7. Then Jesus said to them, “ I will ask you one thing: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy?” 10. And when He had looked around at them all, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other. 11. 20. Then the mother of Zebedee's sons came to Him with her sons, kneeling down and asking something from Him. 21. And He said to her, “What do you wish?” She said to Him, “Grant that these two sons of mine may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on the left, in Your kingdom.” 22. But Jesus answered and said, “You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” They said to Him, “We are able.” 23. So He said to them, “You will indeed drink My cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared by My Father.” 24. And when the ten heard it, they were greatly displeased with the two brothers. 25. But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. 26. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. 27. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave— 28. just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

1. Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: 2. Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3. as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4. by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5. But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6. to knowledge self - control, to self - control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7. to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 16 : 22 - 27 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

22. Then the multitude rose up together against them; and the magistrates tore off their clothes and commanded them to be beaten with rods. 23. And when they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to keep them securely. 24. Having received such a charge, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks. 25. But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed. 27. And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself.

Lk 21 : 12 - 19 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

12. But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; 15. for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. 16. You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. 17. And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. 18. 3. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4. that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly. 5. “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 6. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. 7. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8. “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

Rom 8 : 35 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36. As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39. nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9. receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

1. Now Saul was consenting to his death. At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. 2. And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. 3. As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison. 4. Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.

32. Now Jesus called His disciples to Himself and said, “ I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. And I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.” 33. Then His disciples said to Him, “Where could we get enough bread in the wilderness to fill such a great multitude?” 34. Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven, and a few little fish.” 35. So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. 36. And He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitude. 37. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets full of the fragments that were left. 38. Now those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children. 39. And He sent away the multitude, got into the boat, and came to the region of Magdala. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

Mk 15 : 1 - 15 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Immediately, in the morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council; and they bound Jesus, led Him away, and delivered Him to Pilate. 2. Then Pilate asked Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” He answered and said to him, “It is as you say.” 3. And the chief priests accused Him of many things, but He answered nothing. 4. Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, “Do You answer nothing? See how many things they testify against You!” 5. But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled. 6. Now at the feast he was accustomed to releasing one prisoner to them, whomever they requested. 7. And there was one named Barabbas, who was chained with his fellow rebels; they had committed murder in the rebellion. 8. Then the multitude, crying aloud, began to ask him to do just as he had always done for them. 9. But Pilate answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?” 10. For he knew that the chief priests had handed Him over because of envy. 11. But the chief priests stirred up the crowd, so that he should rather release Barabbas to them. 12. Pilate answered and said to them again, “What then do you want me to do with Him whom you call the King of the Jews?” 13. So they cried out again, “Crucify Him!” 14. Then Pilate said to them, “Why, what evil has He done?” But they cried out all the more, “Crucify Him!” 15. So Pilate, wanting to gratify the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered Jesus, after he had scourged Him, to be crucified. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you what is fitting, 9. yet for love's sake I rather appeal to you—being such a one as Paul, the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ— 10. I appeal to you for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten while in my chains, 11. who once was unprofitable to you, but now is profitable to you and to me. 12. I am sending him back. 1Pet 3 : 18 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

18. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, 19. by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20. who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. 21. There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22. who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.

So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. 27. And in these days prophets came from Jerusalem to Antioch. 28. Then one of them, named Agabus, stood up and showed by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine throughout all the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius Caesar. 29. Then the disciples, each according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brethren dwelling in Judea. 30. This they also did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

10. Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11. And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. 12. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” 13. And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. 14. But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.” 15. The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? 16. So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” 17. And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

Gal 3 : 1 - 9 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? 2. This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3. Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? 4. Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? 5. Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? — 6. just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” 7. Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9. So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

Js 2 : 21 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

21. Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22. Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23. And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15. and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. 16. And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female. ’ 7. ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, 8. and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” 10. In the house His disciples also asked Him again about the same matter. 11. 2Cor 4 : 1 - 12 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. 2. But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3. But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4. whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. 5. For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake. 6. For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. 8. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9. persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— 10. always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12. So then death is working in us, but life in you.

1Jn 5 : 11 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

11. And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. 14. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 16. If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that. 17. All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death. 18. We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. 19. We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. 20. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. 21. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Acts 4 : 14 - 23 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

14. And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. 15. But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, 16. saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. 17. But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name.” 18. So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. 19. But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. 20. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” 21. So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done. 22. For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed. 23. And being let go, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.

መዝሙር Psalm

Ps 6 : 3 - 4 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

And my soul is greatly troubled; But You, O Lord, how long? Return, O Lord, and deliver my soul. Save me because of Your mercy.

OR

Ps 4 ፡ 2 - 3

How long, O you sons of men, Will you be slow of heart? Why do you love vain things And seek after lies? Know that the Lord made His Holy One wondrous

ወንጌል Gospel

Jn 9 : 13 - 25 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

13. They brought him who formerly was blind to the Pharisees. 14. Now it was a Sabbath when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes. 15. Then the Pharisees also asked him again how he had received his sight. He said to them, “He put clay on my eyes, and I washed, and I see.” 16. Therefore some of the Pharisees said, “This Man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” And there was a division among them. 17. They said to the blind man again, “What do you say about Him because He opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.” 18. But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind and received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight. 19. And they asked them, saying, “Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?” 20. His parents answered them and said, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind; 21. but by what means he now sees we do not know, or who opened his eyes we do not know. He is of age; ask him. He will speak for himself.” 22. His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had agreed already that if anyone confessed that He was Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue. 23. Therefore his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.” 24. So they again called the man who was blind, and said to him, “Give God the glory! We know that this Man is a sinner.” 25. He answered and said, “Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.” Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.
