They sowed fields and planted vineyards, And produced much fruit; So He blessed them, and they were multiplied exceedingly.

ወንጌል Gospel

1. Then He began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a place for the wine vat and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. 2. Now at vintage - time he sent a servant to the vinedressers, that he might receive some of the fruit of the vineyard from the vinedressers. 3. And they took him and beat him and sent him away empty - handed. 4. Again he sent them another servant, and at him they threw stones, a wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated. 5. And again he sent another, and him they killed; and many others, beating some and killing some. 6. Therefore still having one son, his beloved, he also sent him to them last, saying, ‘They will respect my son. ’ 7. But those vinedressers said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours. ’ 8. So they took him and killed him and cast him out of the vineyard. 9. “Therefore what will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the vinedressers, and give the vineyard to others. 10. Have you not even read this Scripture: ‘ The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. 11. This was the Lord's doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’?” 12. And they sought to lay hands on Him, but feared the multitude, for they knew He had spoken the parable against them. So they left Him and went away. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

1. And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. 2. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; 3. for you are still carnal. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 8. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 9. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 11. “ I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. 12. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. 13. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. 14. I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

13. But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, 14. to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15. Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle. † 16. Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed. 27. And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself. 28. But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, “Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.”

And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. 35. “So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.” The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’
