Ps 107 : 42 - 43 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

The righteous shall see this and be glad, And all lawlessness shall stop its mouth. Who is wise and shall keep these things, And shall understand the mercies of the Lord?

ወንጌል Gospel

Mt 24 : 43 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

43. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. 45. “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? 46. Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. 47. Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. 48. But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming, ’ 49. and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 50. the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, 51. and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

1Cor 6 : 7 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

7. Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated? 8. No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren! 9. Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10. nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. 12. All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13. Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14. And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power. 15. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16. Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17. But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. 18. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20. For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

ዘካልእ መልእክት Universal Epistle

Js 4 : 6 - 12 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

6. But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” 7. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double - minded. 9. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. 11. Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. 12. There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?

ግብረ ሃዋርያት Acts

Acts 6 : 1 - 7 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. 2. Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. 3. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; 4. but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” 5. And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch, 6. whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them. 7. Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Keep innocence, and behold uprightness, For this is the remnant for the peaceful man. But transgressors shall be utterly destroyed together; The remnants of the ungodly shall be utterly destroyed.

ወንጌል Gospel

Mt 7 : 1 - 14 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3. And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4. Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5. Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. 6. “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces. 7. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10. Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11. If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! 12. Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. 13. “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

Jn 17 : 19 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

19. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth. 20. “ I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21. that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23. I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. 24. “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25. O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. 26. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

ወንጌል Gospel

Mk 9 : 41 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

41. For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward. 42. “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea. 43. If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— 44. where ‘Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched. ’ 45. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— 46. where ‘Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched. ’ 47. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire— 48. where ‘Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched. ’ 49. “For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt. 50. Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another.” He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle

1Cor 11 : 13 - 19 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

13. Judge among yourselves. Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14. Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him? 15. But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering. 16. But if anyone seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor do the churches of God. 17. Now in giving these instructions I do not praise you, since you come together not for the better but for the worse. 18. For first of all, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it. 19. For there must also be factions among you, that those who are approved may be recognized among you.

ዘካልእ መልእክት Universal Epistle

1Jn 5 : 14 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

14. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 16. If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that. 17. All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death. 18. We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. 19. We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. 20. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. 21. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

ግብረ ሃዋርያት Acts

Acts 16 : 25 - 32 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

25. But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed. 27. And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself. 28. But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, “Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.” 29. Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30. And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31. So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32. Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.

ወንጌል Gospel

Lk 10 : 19 - 24 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

19. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” 21. In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “ I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 22. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” 23. Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see; 24. for I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it.” ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

Mt 22 : 15 - 22 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

15. Then the Pharisees went and plotted how they might entangle Him in His talk. 16. And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God in truth; nor do You care about anyone, for You do not regard the person of men. 17. Tell us, therefore, what do You think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” 18. But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test Me, you hypocrites? 19. Show Me the tax money.” So they brought Him a denarius. 20. And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” 21. They said to Him, “Caesar's.” And He said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” 22. When they had heard these words, they marveled, and left Him and went their way. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

Lk 19 : 11 - 19 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

11. Now as they heard these things, He spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately. 12. Therefore He said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. 13. So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come. ’ 14. But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We will not have this man to reign over us. ’ 15. “And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16. Then came the first, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned ten minas. ’ 17. And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities. ’ 18. And the second came, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned five minas. ’ 19. Likewise he said to him, ‘You also be over five cities. ’ ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle

1Tim 4 : 1 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2. speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, 3. forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. Orthodox Doctrine, Orthodox Spirituality 4. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; 5. for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 6. If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. 7. But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. 8. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. 9. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. 10. For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. 11. These things command and teach. 12. Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 13. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. 15. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. 16. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

ዘካልእ መልእክት Universal Epistle

2Pet 1 : 12 - 18 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

12. For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. 13. Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you, 14. knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me. 15. More over I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease. 16. For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17. For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” 18. And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.

ግብረ ሃዋርያት Acts

Acts 11 : 19 - 26 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

19. Now those who were scattered after the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to no one but the Jews only. 20. But some of them were men from Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus. 21. And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord. 22. Then news of these things came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch. 23. When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord. 24. For he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord. 25. Then Barnabas departed for Tarsus to seek Saul. 26. And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

Lk 14 : 28 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

28. For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it— 29. lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30. saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? 31. Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32. Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. 33. So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple. 34. “Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? 35. 29. If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. 30. But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery. 33. “Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord. ’ 34. But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God's throne; 35. nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 36. Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. 37. But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes, ’ and your ‘No, ’ ‘No. ’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one. 14. Now I myself am confident concerning you, my brethren, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. 15. Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as reminding you, because of the grace given to me by God, 16. that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. 17. Therefore I have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God. 18. For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient— 19. in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. 20. And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man's foundation, 21. but as it is written: “To whom He was not announced, they shall see; And those who have not heard shall understand.”

And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. 17. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. 18. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. 19. Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20. let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

Acts 2 : 22 - 24 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

22. “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know— 23. Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; 24. whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.

Jn 11 : 7 - 13 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

7. Then after this He said to the disciples, “Let us go to Judea again.” 8. The disciples said to Him, “Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to stone You, and are You going there again?” 9. Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. 10. But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.” 11. These things He said, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.” 12. Then His disciples said, “Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.” 13. However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was speaking about taking rest in sleep. Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

Jn 7 : 40 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

40. Therefore many from the crowd, when they heard this saying, said, “Truly this is the Prophet.” 41. Others said, “This is the Christ.” But some said, “Will the Christ come out of Galilee? 42. Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the seed of David and from the town of Bethlehem, where David was?” 43. So there was a division among the people because of Him. 44. Now some of them wanted to take Him, but no one laid hands on Him. 45. Then the officers came to the chief priests and Pharisees, who said to them, “Why have you not brought Him?” 46. The officers answered, “No man ever spoke like this Man!” 47. Then the Pharisees answered them, “Are you also deceived? 48. Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in Him? 49. But this crowd that does not know the law is accursed.” 50. Nicodemus (he who came to Jesus by night, being one of them) said to them, 51. “Does our law judge a man before it hears him and knows what he is doing?” 52. They answered and said to him, “Are you also from Galilee? Search and look, for no prophet has arisen out of Galilee.” 53. And everyone went to his own house. Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

18. And the second came, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned five minas. ’ 19. For I feared you, because you are an austere man. You collect what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow. ’ 22. And he said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow. 23. Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest? ’ 24. “And he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas. ’ 25. 1Cor 14 : 1 - 9 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. 2. For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 3. But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. 4. He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. 5. I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification. 6. But now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you unless I speak to you either by revelation, by knowledge, by prophesying, or by teaching? 7. Even things without life, whether flute or harp, when they make a sound, unless they make a distinction in the sounds, how will it be known what is piped or played? 8. For if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle? 9. So likewise you, unless you utter by the tongue words easy to understand, how will it be known what is spoken? For you will be speaking into the air.

ዘካልእ መልእክት Universal Epistle

1Jn 3 : 11 - 18 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

11. For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12. not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother's righteous. 13. Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you. 14. We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. 15. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. 16. By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? 18. My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

1. Then Paul, looking earnestly at the council, said, “Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.” 2. For you sit to judge me according to the law, and do you command me to be struck contrary to the law?” 4. And those who stood by said, “Do you revile God's high priest?” 5. Then Paul said, “ I did not know, brethren, that he was the high priest; for it is written, ‘You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.’” 6. But when Paul perceived that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, “Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee; concerning the hope and resurrection of the dead I am being judged!”

Lk 18 : 17 - 26 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

17. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” 18. Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 19. So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. 20. You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, ’ ‘Do not murder, ’ ‘Do not steal, ’ ‘Do not bear false witness, ’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’” 21. And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.” 22. So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 23. But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich. 24. And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God! 25. For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” 26. And those who heard it said, “Who then can be saved?” ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

Therefore, if I come, I will call to mind his deeds which he does, prating against us with malicious words. And not content with that, he himself does not receive the brethren, and forbids those who wish to, putting them out of the church. 11. Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God. 12. Demetrius has a good testimony from all, and from the truth itself. And we also bear witness, and you know that our testimony is true. 13. And when Peter came up to Jerusalem, those of the circumcision contended with him, 3. saying, “You went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them!” 4. But Peter explained it to them in order from the beginning, saying: 5. “ I was in the city of Joppa praying; and in a trance I saw a vision, an object descending like a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came to me. 6. When I observed it intently and considered, I saw four - footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. 7. And I heard a voice saying to me, ‘Rise, Peter; kill and eat. ’ 8. But I said, ‘Not so, Lord! For nothing common or unclean has at any time entered my mouth. ’ 9. But the voice answered me again from heaven, ‘What God has cleansed you must not call common. ’ 10. Now this was done three times, and all were drawn up again into heaven.

Lk 21 : 20 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

20. “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24. And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. 25. “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26. men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” 29. Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. 31. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. 32. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. 33. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. 34. “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” 37. And in the daytime He was teaching in the temple, but at night He went out and stayed on the mountain called Olivet. 38. Then early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple to hear Him. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

Mt 18 : 23 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

23. Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24. And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25. But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made. 26. The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, ‘Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all. ’ 27. Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. 28. “But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe! ’ 29. So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you all. ’ 30. And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt. 31. So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done. 32. Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33. Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you? ’ 34. And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. 35. “So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.” The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

Jn 11 : 14 - 30 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

14. Then Jesus said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. 15. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.” 16. Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with Him.” 17. So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days. 18. Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away. 19. And many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. 20. Now Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house. 21. Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. 22. But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.” 23. Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24. Martha said to Him, “ I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25. Jesus said to her, “ I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27. She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” 28. And when she had said these things, she went her way and secretly called Mary her sister, saying, “The Teacher has come and is calling for you.” 29. As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly and came to Him. 30. Now Jesus had not yet come into the town, but was in the place where Martha met Him. Phil 1 : 19 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

19. For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, 20. according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. 21. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. 23. For I am hard - pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. 24. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you. 25. And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith, 26. that your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again. 27. Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, 28. and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God. 29. For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, 30. having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me.

Js 3 : 1 - 7 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. 2. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. 3. Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. 4. Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. 5. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! 6. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. 7. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.

And they neither found me in the temple disputing with anyone nor inciting the crowd, either in the synagogues or in the city. 13. Nor can they prove the things of which they now accuse me. 14. But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets. 15. I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust. 16. This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men. 17. “Now after many years I came to bring alms and offerings to my nation, 18. in the midst of which some Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with a mob nor with tumult. 19. They ought to have been here before you to object if they had anything against me. 20. Or else let those who are here themselves say if they found any wrongdoing in me while I stood before the council, 21. unless it is for this one statement which I cried out, standing among them, ‘Concerning the resurrection of the dead I am being judged by you this day.’”

መዝሙር Psalm

Ps 3 : 4 - 5 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

I cried to the Lord with my voice, And He heard me from His holy hill. I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord will help me.

ወንጌል Gospel

Jn 11 : 31 - 46 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

31. Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, “She is going to the tomb to weep there.” 32. Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.” 33. Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled. 34. And He said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to Him, “Lord, come and see.” 35. Jesus wept. 36. Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!” 37. And some of them said, “Could not this Man, who opened the eyes of the blind, also have kept this man from dying?” 38. Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. 39. Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.” 40. Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” 41. Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42. And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.” 43. Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” 44. And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.” 45. Then many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen the things Jesus did, believed in Him. 46. But some of them went away to the Pharisees and told them the things Jesus did. Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

Ps 74 : 4 - 5 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

Those who hate You boasted in the midst of Your feast; They set up their signs, yes signs, and they did not know. As into an entrance hall.

ወንጌል Gospel

Jn 11 : 47 - 54 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

47. Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, “What shall we do? For this Man works many signs. 48. If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation.” 49. And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all, 50. nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish.” 51. Now this he did not say on his own authority; but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation, 52. and not for that nation only, but also that He would gather together in one the children of God who were scattered abroad. 53. Then, from that day on, they plotted to put Him to death. 54. Therefore Jesus no longer walked openly among the Jews, but went from there into the country near the wilderness, to a city called Ephraim, and there remained with His disciples. Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle

Rom 7 : 1 - 14 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Or do you not know, brethren (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives? 2. For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband. 3. So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man. 4. Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. 5. For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. 6. But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. 7. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” 8. But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead. 9. I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. 10. And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death. 11. For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me. 12. Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good. 13. Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful. 14. For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.

ዘካልእ መልእክት Universal Epistle

1Jn 4 : 1 - 10 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3. and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 4. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 7. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

ግብረ ሃዋርያት Acts

Acts 5 : 34 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

34. Then one in the council stood up, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in respect by all the people, and commanded them to put the apostles outside for a little while. 35. And he said to them: “Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men. 36. For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to nothing. 37. After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed. 38. And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; 39. but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.” 40. And they agreed with him, and when they had called for the apostles and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. 41. So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. 42. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

መዝሙር Psalm

Ps 16 : 3 - 4 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

You tested my heart, when You visited me in the night; You tried me in the fire, and found nothing unjust in me. That my mouth might not speak of the works of men.

ወንጌል Gospel

Jn 3 : 1 - 21 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” 3. Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4. Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?” 5. Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again. ’ 8. The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” 9. Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?” Life in the Kingdom 10. Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? 11. Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12. If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13. No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. 14. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15. that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.
