The righteous shall see this and be glad, And all lawlessness shall stop its mouth. Who is wise and shall keep these things, And shall understand the mercies of the Lord?

43. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. 45. “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? 46. Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. 47. Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. 48. But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming, ’ 49. and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 50. the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, 51. and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

7. Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated? 8. And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power. 15. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16. Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17. But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. 18. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20. For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

6. But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” 7. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. 11. Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. 12. There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?

And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4. First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. 6. “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces. 7. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8. Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11. If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! 12. Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. 13. “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Now in giving these instructions I do not praise you, since you come together not for the better but for the worse. 18. For there must also be factions among you, that those who are approved may be recognized among you.

14. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 16. If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that. 17. All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death. 18. We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. 19. We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. 20. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. 21. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. 3. Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.” 4. When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” 5. Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. 6. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. 18. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. 19. Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20. let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

But this crowd that does not know the law is accursed.” 50. Nicodemus (he who came to Jesus by night, being one of them) said to them, 51. “Does our law judge a man before it hears him and knows what he is doing?” 52. They answered and said to him, “Are you also from Galilee? Search and look, for no prophet has arisen out of Galilee.” 53. And everyone went to his own house. 1. Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. 2. For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 3. 11. For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12. not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him?
