He shall exalt the gentle with salvation. The holy ones shall boast in glory, And they shall greatly rejoice on their beds.

24. When the messengers of John had departed, He began to speak to the multitudes concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? 25. Then He came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and saw a tumult and those who wept and wailed loudly. 39. When He came in, He said to them, “Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeping.” 40. And they ridiculed Him. But when He had put them all outside, He took the father and the mother of the child, and those who were with Him, and entered where the child was lying. 41. Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, “Talitha, cumi,” which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” 42. Immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were overcome with great amazement. 43. Now there were seven brothers. The first took a wife; and dying, he left no offspring. 21. And the second took her, and he died; nor did he leave any offspring. And the third likewise. 22. 26. How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. 27. If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret. 28. But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to himself and to God. 29. Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. 30. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.” 28. So all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 29. and rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and they led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw Him down over the cliff. 30. So when he heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, pleading with Him to come and heal his servant. 4. And when they came to Jesus, they begged Him earnestly, saying that the one for whom He should do this was deserving, 5. “for he loves our nation, and has built us a synagogue.” 6. Then Jesus went with them. And when He was already not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof. 7. Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to You. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. 8. For I also am a man placed under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go, ’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come, ’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this, ’ and he does it.” 9. When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned around and said to the crowd that followed Him, “ I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!” 10.
